Russia eager for swift peace in South Caucasus region, Zakharova says

Russia is deeply invested in seeing peace prevail in the South Caucasus region as soon as possible, Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry, aid during a briefing today.

Zakharova emphasized that Russia is always prepared to assist the parties involved in all matters related to the trilateral agreements. "I would like to remind you that apart from the peace treaty, this package of agreements, so to speak, also encompasses issues of delimitation, demarcation of borders, unblocking of transport communications, and fostering contacts along the lines of civil society," she elaborated.

The Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson also expressed Russia's appreciation for the efforts of neighboring countries, such as Kazakhstan, in working towards this goal. "Of course, we also welcome the efforts of our neighbors, such as Kazakhstan, in this direction," Zakharova added.
