Romanian President: Azerbaijan has great potential in green energy 

The "Agreement on a strategic partnership in the field of green energy development and transmission between the Governments of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania, and Hungary" is an essential and ambitious document that will make a significant contribution to the strengthening of Europe's energy security and promote cooperation in the region, the President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis, said at the plenary meeting on the signing ceremony of the agreement, Report informs.

He emphasized the importance of the development of green energy: "The Caspian region, especially Azerbaijan, has a great potential in green energy."

The President of Romania noted that the next step will be the construction of the Black Sea Submarine Cable: "We also want to strengthen the relations related to maritime transport from Constanța to Georgia. These efforts will also strengthen relations with Azerbaijan and Central Asia."
