"Relations between Qatar and Azerbaijan are based on strong friendship, mutual cooperation and interests. Qatar is interested in strengthening cooperation with Azerbaijan," Report informs, citing Qatari ambassador to Azerbaijan Faisal Abdullah Hamad Al- Hanzab stating at an event on the occasion of the National Day of his country.
Qatar is interested in developing cooperation in all areas - politics, economy, and culture, as well as developing trade cooperation and investment opportunities for companies from both countries, the ambassador said.
Azerbaijani Labor Minister Sahil Babayev, in his turn, congratulated Qatar on the national holiday, noting that the countries have always supported each other internationally.
According to the minister, strong ties have developed between Azerbaijan and Qatar, the legal framework of the countries covers about 40 documents. Sahil Babayev noted that at present Azerbaijan is actively working to restore infrastructure in the territories liberated from the Armenian occupation and invited Qatari companies to participate in this process.
