Putin: Relations with Azerbaijan developing on basis of declaration signed back in 2022

Relations between Russia and Azerbaijan are developing on the basis of a declaration signed in early 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Baku, Report informs.

"It is being successfully implemented and a good impetus for the development of our bilateral relations was given during your visit to Moscow in April this year," the Russian president noted. He also pointed to the successful development of trade and economic ties.

"We said at our previous meeting in Russia that a little over 4 billion is a good figure, but it does not correspond to the potential of our capabilities. Indeed, here we can talk not only about energy, but also about industrial cooperation, transport logistics, and light industry. We have many areas for joint work," Putin emphasized, adding that more than 4 billion in direct investment in the Azerbaijani economy is also a good indicator.

The Russian president noted that more than 1,270 enterprises with Russian capital operate in Azerbaijan: "And this, of course, is not the limit."
