Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov outlined Azerbaijan's priorities as Chairman of the OSCE Forum for Security Co-operation (FSC), Report informs referring to the OSCE.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister made the remarks at the opening of the forum meeting in Vienna.
Jeyhun Bayramov stressed that unconditional respect for the fundamental norms, principles and commitments enshrined in the main documents of the OSCE, starting with the Helsinki Final Act, in particular, respect for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of the internationally recognized borders of states, remain the basis for cooperation both within the OSCE in general, and the forum.
The chairmanship of the forum rotates three times a year. The chairman plays a leading role in setting the agenda for each forum meeting and draws attention to issues related to the implementation of the commitments made by the forum. The last time Azerbaijan chaired the FSC was in 2005.
