Moscow is hosting a meeting of Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov and Russian Prime Minister Dmitriy Medvedev.
Report's Russian bureau informs that the meeting was held as part of the session of the Council of heads of government of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
The Russian Prime Minister congratulated his Azerbaijani counterpart on appointment.
"I wish you success, you can count on the help and support of the Russian side, our relations are advanced. It would suffice to say that over the past eight months the trade between our countries made almost 25%. This is a good result, I think it is even the best, in terms of Russia's relations with the CIS countries," Medvedev said.
Ali Asadov, on his part, thanked Medvedev for congratulations, voicing hope for the further strengthening of bilateral cooperation in a number of spheres.
