"President Ilham Aliyev's next working visit to Turkiye is a clear example of the highest level of personal friendship and cooperation between the two countries' presidents. Fraternal relations between Turkiye and Azerbaijan are currently at the highest level under the leadership of Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Thus, the reciprocal official visits of the leaders are always greeted with great solemnity in both nations, and in each of these visits, close cooperation between the two friendly and brotherly countries in all areas is further strengthened," MP, member of the board of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) Javid Osmanov told Report.
According to him, there are many fraternal peoples in the world: "An example is the peoples of Russia and Ukraine. But it is not easy to raise this brotherhood to the level of strategic partnership, and Azerbaijan and Turkiye are an example to the world in this regard. Today, close and eternal relations have been established under the leadership of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkiye. In this sense, the brotherhood of Azerbaijan and Turkiye can be an example to the world."
The MP said that the Shusha Declaration on Allied Relations signed by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on June 15 last year is the culmination of Azerbaijan-Turkey friendship and brotherhood, a new stage of strategic partnership: "The declaration states that in the event of a threat or aggression by a third state or states against the independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, inviolability, or security of its internationally recognized borders, either party shall hold joint consultations and will take initiatives under the purposes and principles of the UN Charter to eliminate aggression and threat and provide each other with the necessary assistance in accordance with the UN Charter. The scope and form of this assistance will be determined through immediate discussions, a decision will be made to meet defense needs for joint action, and coordinated activities of the forces and command structures of eth Armed Forces will be organized. Military-technical cooperation in the document is not directed against any third state. But if any of our countries is threatened by a third country, Azerbaijan and Turkiye will take joint steps to protect each other. I would also like to emphasize that the further expansion and development of military-technical cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkiye is mentioned in the Shusha Declaration too. The document also reflects the issues of raising political, economic, cultural, and humanitarian relations to the highest level. I think that, in general, the historic Shusha Declaration is a triumph of the activities carried out by the leaders of the two brotherly countries."
Osmanov noted that many calls and efforts aimed at establishing peace in the world have failed: "Azerbaijan and Turkiye are also working together in this direction. It seems that our efforts are based on a more concrete result. Two states have always taken an unequivocal position for peace, justice, and tranquillity in the world, and this will always be the case."
