Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan interstate relations originate from the brotherhood, historical friendship and attachment to common cultural roots of the two nations, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said in a congratulatory letter to President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Report informs.
"The successful development and expansion of our multifaceted cooperation, our strategic partnership based on mutual trust and confidence, built on these good traditions and solid foundations, is a source of satisfaction. At the same time, I would like to specifically mention our successful cooperation and mutual support within the framework of international institutions.
I am sure that the traditional friendly relations and cooperation of mutual interest between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan will continue to grow and deepen with our joint efforts in accordance with the interests of our peoples," the letter stated.
