The popular US publication News Blaze published an article by Nurit Greenger about veterans of the Second Karabakh War, Report informs.
According to the author, by the goodwill humanitarianism of Israeli doctors, Azerbaijani war veteran, 24-year-old Arif Hajiyev regained his eyesight:
Dr. Yishay Falik, an ophthalmologist at Misgav Ladach Hospital in Jerusalem, with a team of volunteer doctors, performed free eye surgeries on 150 wounded Azerbaijani war veterans at the Zarifa Aliyeva Ophthalmology Hospital in Baku."
The article noted that the 44-day-long Second Karabakh War ended on November 10, 2020, with a high number of casualties and 1,245 soldiers wounded:
"Among the wounded was Arif Hajiyev, injured in the Yukhari Abdurrahmanli village in the direction of the city of Fuzuli."
Arif Hajiyev, 24, said in an interview with News Blaze: "Our government is the best. Not only did I receive the best medical attention possible for a monthly check-up and the necessary operations, but I also received a house, a car, and financial assistance provided by the YASHAT Foundation."
Added to Arif's war story is the war story of 31-year-old Captain Vasif Dilavarzadeh, who served in Azerbaijan's military for 11 years, last as a unit commander in Azerbaijan's Infantry Special Forces:
"Vasif was wounded in his leg, lost a lot of blood, and needed seven operations to save his leg."
