France does not allow us to convey our voice to the world, Victor Maamaatuaiahutapu, Secretary General of Tavini Huiraatira Party of French Polynesia, said at the conference titled "French Polynesia's right to decolonization: challenges and perspectives" at Azerbaijani Milli Majlis (Parliament) on May 30, Report informs.

He said that his party has been fighting for the independence of French Polynesia for 40 years: "We are very happy to be in Azerbaijan today and to have the opportunity to express their problems."

Maurea Tuaiahutapu, the chairman of the Budget and Financial Control Commission of the Assembly of French Polynesia, said that their goals are to build their country and ensure its prosperity.

Tuaiahutapu thanked the Baku Initiative Group, Milli Majlis and MPs:

"We are very happy to be in your free and beautiful state, we once again felt the support of Azerbaijan during today's conference. We had felt alone and thought that the colonial power did not hear us. However, Azerbaijan's support encouraged us even more in our struggle."
