Poltava Council chairman says 'ready' for cooperation with Azerbaijanis

The chairman of the Poltava regional council, Alexander Bilenky, met with the Ukraine-Azerbaijan Youth Movement representatives.

Report informs, citing Eastern European bureau, that the event is attended by Movement director Akbar Huseynzade, active members Oleg Zabolotsky, Mahsun Bufagov, Minnik Niftaliyeva, Tabriz Huseynli, and others.

During the meeting, Akbar Huseynzade provided information about the directions of the activity of the newly established movement and the work carried out in a short period. Noting that the movement combines the joint action of young Azerbaijanis and Ukrainians, Huseynzade added that the aim is to strengthen the Ukraine-Azerbaijan friendship. He also voiced his proposals on cooperation with the Council.

Bilenky voiced satisfaction with the activity of Azerbaijani youth, and said the province is interested in expanding the Ukraine-Azerbaijan relations.

"We are satisfied with the joint activity of young Azerbaijanis and Ukrainians. I am ready for cooperation with Azerbaijani youth at the high level," he said.

The council chairman stressed that the twinning of any Azerbaijani city boasting rich cultural history and Reshetylivka is desirable.

Bilenky further presented souvenirs to young Azerbaijanis.
