Political consultations held between Azerbaijani, Saudi MFAs

The next round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was held in Baku, Report informs, citing Azerbaijani MFA.

The political consultations were led by Fariz Rzayev, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, and Waleed Al-Khuraiji, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia.

During the consultations, the current situation and prospects of bilateral cooperation in the fields of political, economic, energy, humanitarian, inter-parliamentary relations, and cooperation issues within the framework of international organizations, including the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Non-Aligned Movement were discussed.

The Saudi side was informed about the post-conflict situation in the region, including restoration, construction, and reintegration works in the liberated areas.

The parties also exchanged views on regional and global issues of mutual interest.
