"Almost all our cities came under fire. Russia is incapable of waging a conventional war on the battlefield. It has already been proven that the effectiveness of their ground forces is extremely low. For this reason, they direct their main efforts to air and missile strikes on large cities," Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine, told Report.
According to him, almost 50-60% of small towns and villages have been ruined just like it was in the Kyiv region:
"90% of the city of Mariupol was destroyed. It is Russia's tactic. They believe that night attacks, which last more than 50 days, can intimidate the public, force citizens to leave their homes and the country, or put pressure on the government to sign an unfavorable peace agreement with Russia.
"I would call Russia's tactics in Ukraine the war tactics in Syria. This tactic involves besieging a large city like Kharkiv, preventing the delivery of food, medicine, and water, preventing the evacuation of children and the wounded, and carrying out mass bombings. Of course, we not only wait, but almost every day, we witness the explosion of cruise missiles in this or that region at night.
