The newly built Rize-Artvin Airport in the Turkish city of Rize will be put into operation today. Presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkiye Ilham Aliyev, and Recep Tayyip Erdogan will attend the opening ceremony. The planes of the leaders of the two countries will make the first landing at the airport.
According to the Report's correspondent, preparations for the opening ceremony of the airport have been completed.
Thus, portraits of Ilham Aliyev, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and Recep Tayyip Erdogan were hung on the territory of the airport and in different parts of the city.
Residents holding Azerbaijani and Turkish flags gathered in the square.
In a few hours, the planes of Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan will land in Rize, and the opening ceremony will begin.
