Peter Stano: EU welcomes Azerbaijan's signature of protocol banning death penalty

The European Union welcomes Azerbaijan's signature of the Convention on Human Rights' protocol banning the death penalty in all circumstances, Peter Stano, EU's lead spokesperson for the external affairs, said on Twitter, according to Report.

"The EU strongly opposes the use of death penalty at all times as cruel & inhumane punishment,that fails to act as deterrent to crime," Stano tweeted.
