Peruvian Congress adopts statement on restoration of Azerbaijan's independence

At the initiative of the member of the Peruvian Congress Jose Enrique Ore, the Congress adopted a statement on October 18 - Day of Restoration of Independence.

Report informs that, according to the document, the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, the first parliamentary republic in the Muslim East, was established on May 28, 1918, and two years later, the ADR was occupied by the Bolsheviks. But the Azerbaijani people have not forgotten their historical statehood heritage and declared independence as the successor of the ADR in 1991, gaining independence for the second time. The paper says that on October 18 this year, "the brotherly country Azerbaijan celebrated the 30th anniversary of the restoration of its independence."

The statement shows that Azerbaijan has strengthened its independence and sovereignty for 30 years, as well as is accepted in the international community as a model country for the coexistence of different religions and cultures.
