Pashinyan: Armenia ready to recognize Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity within Azerbaijan SSR

Armenia is ready to recognize the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan within Azerbaijan SSR, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in parliament, presenting the government’s report for 2022, Report informs referring to Novosti-Armenia.

“A peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan is realistic if both countries clearly, without ambiguity and tricks, recognize each other’s territorial integrity and undertake today and forever not to present territorial claims to each other,” Pashinyan said.

He stated that he agreed on this with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev during meetings in Prague and Sochi.

“Both from Yerevan and Baku, there are official statements according to which the other side is accused of non-compliance with the agreements. I want to reaffirm that Armenia fully recognizes the territorial integrity and expects Azerbaijan to do the same, recognizing the territory of the Armenian SSR as the territory of Armenia,” he said.
