Parliamentary speakers of Turkey and Pakistan visit Alleys of Honors and Martyrs

Delegations led by Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Mustafa Sentop and Chairman of the National Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Asad Qaiser visited the Alley of Honors to lay a wreath at the tomb of national leader, founder, and architect of modern Azerbaijani state Heydar Aliyev.

The delegations also commemorated the memory of prominent ophthalmologist-scientist academician Zarifa Aliyeva and fresh flowers at her grave.

Then the guests visited the Alley of Martyrs to commemorate Azerbaijani heroes who gave their lives for the country's independence and territorial integrity. They laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument.

Visitors were informed about the creative landscaping works carried out in the capital.

The delegation also visited the "Turkish Martyrdom" monument erected in memory of the martyred Turkish soldiers killed in the battles for the liberation of Baku in 1918. The guests laid a wreath at the memorial and paid tribute to the memory of Turkish martyrs.

Then the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Mustafa Sentop, wrote his heartfelt words in the book.
