Pakistani Embassy hosts event on abolition of special status of Jammu and Kashmir

Pakistani Embassy in Azerbaijan has hosted an event on the abolition of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, Report informs.

During the event, the address of Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari to the participants of the event was read out and the message of Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was voiced.

The event participants expressed solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir and once again emphasized unwavering political, moral and diplomatic support for their rights to self-determination.

A short film about Jammu and Kashmir was shown during the event. It was noted that the incidents that occurred in these territories are violations of human rights.

In August 2019, the Indian government announced the abolition of Article 370 of the Constitution, which granted special status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
