The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Kubanychbek Omuraliyev, has expressed hope for the signing of a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia, emphasizing the importance of reaching consensus on all provisions of the deal.
Speaking to a Report correspondent on the sidelines of the 4th Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Omuraliyev noted that work on the peace treaty is ongoing. He highlighted that the greatest achievement so far has been the complete liberation of Azerbaijani territories from occupation:
This is important not only for Azerbaijan but for the entire Turkic world, he said, adding that reaching agreement on the articles of the peace deal is crucial for ensuring long-term peace.
Omuraliyev also addressed the issue of the Zangazur Corridor, underlining its significance not only for Azerbaijan but for the entire region, including Armenia, Iran, and other neighboring countries.
This project is also highly promising for the Middle Corridor, he said, noting that while it was previously seen as an alternative route, the Zangazur Corridor is now considered an integral part of it.
