OSCE ODIHR election observation mission to begin work in Azerbaijan tomorrow

Starting tomorrow, August 1, the Election Observation Mission of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) will commence its activities in Azerbaijan in connection with the upcoming snap parliamentary elections.

According to Report, Ditmir Bushati, the head of the OSCE ODIHR election observation mission, noted at a meeting with Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in Baku that a press conference will be held on August 1 to mark the beginning of the long-term observation mission's work. He also outlined the tasks the mission will undertake over the next six weeks.

The snap parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan are scheduled to take place on September 1, 2023.
