OIC representatives adopt statement on outcomes of their visit to Azerbaijan

A delegation of the Permanent Human Rights Commission of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), visiting Azerbaijan for the fact-finding mission at the Ombudsman's invitation, has held a press conference in Ganja on the outcomes of the visit.

Report informs, citing Ombudsman's Office, that at the beginning of the event, the participants honored the memory of martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity and independence of the country. They were also informed about war crimes committed by Armenia against Azerbaijan, the destruction of historical and cultural monuments, and the ecocide.

Following the speeches, the participants discussed the outcomes of the monitoring of the acts of vandalism against the social facilities and cultural and historical monuments in the once-occupied territories, the fact-finding mission, and the collected evidence.

After the press conference, a statement on the outcomes of the fact-finding mission was adopted.
