OIC official: Use of high technology in Azerbaijan shows intention to hold transparent elections

The use of high technology in Azerbaijan clearly shows the intention to hold transparent elections, Assistant Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for Political Affairs, Yousef Aldobeay, said in a meeting with the Chairman of the Central Election Commission, Mazahir Panahov, Report informs.

Expressing gratitude for the invitation, Aldobeay noted that Azerbaijan is a very active member of the organization: "The Charter of the OIC states that member countries fully support democracy. 57 countries are members of the OIC, and elections are held in 35 of them. We receive invitations from them. We take it as a basis not to interfere in the sovereignty and internal affairs of countries. I would like to ask you to share the experience of Azerbaijan with us after the successful completion of the elections. Your use of high technology clearly shows your intention to hold transparent elections."
