Official reception on Azerbaijan's Independence Day, Day of Armed Forces held in Washington

An official reception dedicated to the Independence Day of Azerbaijan and the Day of the Armed Forces was organized in the US capital Washington.

According to Report, the reception was attended by Azerbaijani Ambassador to the United States Khazar Ibrahim, Deputy Assistant Secretary Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs Erika Olson, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Russia, Ukraine and Eurasia Laura Cooper, Chief of Staff of the Oklahoma National Guard Brigadier Colby Watt, as well as ambassadors from about 30 countries, military attachés, etc.

High-ranking US officials who attended the event congratulated Azerbaijan on these significant dates and expressed interest in further developing cooperation with the country in such areas as defense and security, combating transnational threats, border security, energy security and the fight against terrorism.

It was noted that the strategic partnership between the two countries is of great importance in ensuring peace and security in the region.

A video dedicated to the Independence Day of Azerbaijan and the Day of the Armed Forces was shown at the ceremony.
