Official Baku responds to Armenian PM Pashinyan

Azerbaijani service members perform their duties in the sovereign territories of Azerbaijan, Spokesperson for Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry Leyla Abdullayeva said, commenting on remarks voiced by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's at a meeting of the Armenian Security Council, Report informs.

"First of all, we would like to note that Azerbaijan is taking appropriate measures in response to the recent provocations by Armenia. Azerbaijan also undertook relevant measures in response to the concentration of nearly 60 people from Armenian armed personnel in the Garagol direction of the Lachin district last week on November 9, the shelling of Azerbaijani Army positions in the Kalbajar district by Armenian armed forces on November 13, and the preparation for another provocation by Armenian armed forces in the Lachin direction of the border between the two states on November 14. We want to note that Azerbaijani service members perform their duties in the sovereign territories of our country. We also remind that the main responsibility for the current tension lies directly with the military-political leadership of Armenia," she said.
