Official Baku comments on distorted information over Turkmenchay Treaty shared by Russian MFA

Sharing of distorted information over the 1828 Turkmenchay Treaty on the official social network account of the Russian Foreign Ministry on the day of signing the Declaration on Allied Interaction between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation is surprising and regrettable, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said in a statement, Report informs.

"We want to emphasize that the agreement does not refer to the word 'Eastern Armenia' at all, and, of course, this fact should be well known to the History and Records Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry. We consider it important to remove the distortion, and we expect that the false information on the official social network page of the Russian Foreign Ministry will be corrected," the foreign ministry said.
