Türkiye has always been an advocate of peace and stability in the South Caucasus region and has called for taking concrete steps in this regard, Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmus told a joint press conference with Speaker of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova today, Report informs.
"I would like to thank Azerbaijan for its important contribution to this region [South Caucasus]. We have declared from the very beginning that steps should be taken to establish lasting peace," Kurtulmus noted.
The Turkish speaker emphasized that the strong relations between Baku and Ankara have deepened further after Azerbaijan's victory in the 44-day war and the signing of the Shusha Declaration, and are developing in all areas.
