New wave of friendship between Azerbaijan and Pakistan starts, expert says

"We see President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev as a friend of Pakistan," Executive Director of the Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF) Khalid Taimur Akram told Report.

"Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif invited Ilham Aliyev as a brother, not as a president. As a result of this brotherhood, numerous documents were signed and exchanged yesterday. I think that a new wave of friendship between our countries has started," Akram noted.

Talking about the COP29 to be held in Baku in November, the expert said that holding this conference in Baku is an important event for Pakistan too: "Because Pakistan is very much facing the consequences of climate change. With these climate change problems on mind, we believe that COP29 can play a leading role in bringing a new vision to Pakistan."
