New Mexican president thanks Azerbaijan

New Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, who was officially inaugurated on October 1, has expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for its support, Report informs.

She posted a video on her page on X which reflects her meeting with Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elnur Mammadov and other officials from various countries. The head of state thanked the representatives of 105 countries, including Azerbaijan.

"Our foreign policy will follow such principles as the right of peoples to self-determination through constitutional means, non-interference in internal affairs, peaceful resolution of disputes, development and international cooperation in the name of the brotherhood of the peoples of the world," Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo said in her statement.

Claudia Sheinbaum officially took office as President of Mexico on October 1.

The inauguration ceremony took place on October 1 at the San Lazaro Legislative Palace, where the bicameral parliament, the Congress of the Republic of Mexico, holds sessions.
