The opening of a road bridge across the Astarachay River and a new border checkpoint between Iran and Azerbaijan has taken place, Report informs.
A Memorandum of Understanding on the construction of a road bridge and pedestrian crossing over Astarachay was signed between the governments of Azerbaijan and Iran in 2011.
The opening ceremony was attended by the co-chairs of the Joint Azerbaijani-Iranian Commission, Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev and Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran Mehrdad Bazrpash.
