The role of the NAM countries in obtaining the status of neutrality for Turkmenistan is great, Shiri Shiriyev, director of the Center for Strategic Studies of the Institute of International Relations of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry, said during the symposium “From Bandung to Baku: The Non-Aligned Movement in a Complex and Сhanging global context,” Report informs.
“Movement countries have more than 75 percent of the world’s oil reserves. Significant human capital is also concentrated in the NAM countries,” he said.
Shiriyev added that Turkmenistan is in favor of resolving conflicts through diplomacy and negotiations, noting that this principle underlies the foreign policy agenda of Turkmenistan.
