MP: Ukraine may suggest using 'green energy' in Karabakh

The work done in restoration and reconstruction of the region after the end of the Karabakh conflict is a good example for Ukraine, a member of Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada, international expert on energy issues Lyudmila Buimister said, as quoted by Report.

"The post-conflict restoration of logistics routes plays a decisive role. This is very important both for Azerbaijan and for all other countries in the region, including Armenia, Turkey and Ukraine," the politician noted.

According to her, the end of the Karabakh conflict, and the opening of new airports and transport corridors in the region will significantly improve the logistics routes from Asia to Europe: "This will give a serious impetus to the pace of the world economy."

The MP stressed that with its vast experience in 'green energy', Ukraine can provide considerable support to the restoration and reconstruction process in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan: "Because to date, more than 9 gigawatts of solar and wind power plants have been installed in Ukraine."
