Moscow, Baku mull issues of bilateral trade, economic co-op

A meeting of the co-chairs of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexey Overchuk and Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev, took place in Moscow, Report informs referring to the website of the Russian government.

"In development of the agreements reached during the talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on August 19, 2024, in Baku, the co-chairs of the commission discussed current issues of bilateral trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation," the report says.

Special attention was paid to cooperation in the fields of transport, education, and environmental protection. Other issues of mutual interest to the two countries were also discussed.

Overchuk and Mustafayev confirmed their readiness to continue a constructive dialogue aimed at strengthening Russian-Azerbaijani relations in all areas.
