Minister: Georgian-Azerbaijani strategic partnership to reach new heights

"There is a strategic partnership between Georgia and Azerbaijan. The two countries have jointly implemented many important economic projects, and there is close cooperation in a number of sectors, including the culture," Vice Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Georgia David Zalkaliani said after meeting Azerbaijani Culture Minister Anar Karimov, Report's Georgian Service informs.

According to Zalkaliani, the Azerbaijani minister's visit to Georgia is another proof of the high-level mutual ties:

"Relations between the two countries are thriving today, and it is vital to maintain this pace."

Zalkaliani stressed that Georgia is a supporter of permanent peace in the South Caucasus:

"Georgia offers the two neighboring countries (Armenia and Azerbaijan) Tbilisi as a platform for dialogue and implementation of specific cultural projects."

The minister expressed confidence that the Georgian-Azerbaijani strategic partnership will reach new heights.
