As a result of the war crimes committed by Armenia, the right of children to a safe education has been limited, Education Minister Emin Amrullayev wrote on his Facebook page in connection with September 9 - the International Day to Protect Education from Attack, Report informs.
The minister noted that as a result of the attack of the Armenian troops on the civilian population and infrastructure, 10 students were killed, 16 were injured, and 60 schools were destroyed.
“For the sake of a safe future for children, the entire world community should speak loudly about the atrocities committed by Armenia. On behalf of the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan, we call on all citizens to support the actions held under the hashtags #EducationUnderAttack and #UnitetoProtect,” reads the publication.
International Day to Protect Education from Attack is celebrated September 9 in accordance with UN General Assembly Resolution 74/275.
