The EU and Azerbaijan continue negotiations on a new agreement, Head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan Peter Michalko said during a round table at ADA University dedicated to the 20th anniversary of cooperation between the Council of Europe and Azerbaijan, Report informs.

Azerbaijan and the EU share the same values: democracy, freedom, equality, he noted.
Human rights are a very important topic, the EU and the Council of Europe complement each other, interacting in all priority areas, the ambassador said, noting that the EU is contributing to the implementation the action plan for 2022-2025 adopted this year between the CoE and Azerbaijan.
He expressed hope that Azerbaijan-EU mutually beneficial cooperation will continue.
