Russia is monitoring the beginning of the practical phase of work on delimiting the state border between Azerbaijan and Armenia. It is important for regional stability, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at a briefing, the Russian bureau of Report informs.

She noted that the Russian side supports the settlement of all delimitation issues exclusively by political and diplomatic methods: “We proceed from the fact that agreements should be sustainable, balanced, mutually acceptable and serve as the basis for achieving lasting peace in the region.”
