Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry has commented to Report on the announcement of a tender to provide services to peacekeepers temporarily stationed in the Azerbaijani territories on the official website (zakupki.gov.ru) of the unified information system in Russia's trade sector.
In the indicated announcement, these territories were referred to as the 'Nagorno Karabakh Republic.'
"We would like to note that in this connection, the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Azerbaijan immediately expressed its protest to the Russian side through diplomatic channels. It was stressed that such untrue information runs contrary to the spirit of friendship and cooperation between the two countries. On its part, the Russian side said the issue was a technical error and promised to take due steps to correct the mistake and to be attentive to such issues in the future," the information reads.
