Mevlut Cavusoglu: PACE's decision against Azerbaijan is unobjective and unconstructive

The decision of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) against Azerbaijan is unobjective and unconstructive, the former foreign minister of Türkiye, the head of the delegation of the Turkish parliament to NATO, Mevlut Cavusoglu, wrote to X, Report informs.

“I deeply regret that PACE did not approve the credentials of the members of the National Delegation of Azerbaijan. It is indeed a heavy blow to the rights of the peoples of Europe for equal and democratic representation and to the reputation of PACE,” he said.

“I hope that this decision, which does not prioritize the cooperation and dialogue vested in the founding principles of the Council of Europe and which does not serve peace and stability in the region, will be reversed. PACE must right this wrong as soon as possible,” Cavusoglu added.
