Mehmet Perincek: Azerbaijan’s victory created opportunities for peace and stability in region

Azerbaijan’s victory in the Second Karabakh War created enormous opportunities for peace and stability in the South Caucasus. But, despite this, France and the US didn’t abandon attempts to interfere in the affairs of the region, using Armenia, Turkish historian and political scientist Mehmet Perincek said at the forum “The Fight against Modern Practices of Neocolonialism” in Moscow, the Russian bureau of Report informs.

“The policies of states such as France didn’t go unnoticed in the last century. France seeks to continue the policy of neo-colonialism in Africa. However, this policy suffered a very serious failure. Their military bases are being withdrawn from Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso, and economic ties with France are being terminated,” he said, noting that Paris is doing its best to maintain its influence in the South Caucasus.
