Lavrov: Extra-regional players trying to dictate their terms in South Caucasus

Interference of external forces remains the main threat to the South Caucasus, according to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov,

Report informs that following the third meeting of foreign ministers in the 3+3 format in Istanbul on October 18, Lavrov said the main threat lies in the fact that extra-regional players are trying to dictate their terms here, to introduce their schemes.

"These schemes are not aimed at resolving the region's problems in the interests of all countries located here, but are aimed at promoting NATO-centric formats here, developing bloc processes, driving wedges, as we usually say, between neighboring countries, and again using their capabilities as leverage," he said.
