To solve theIslamophobia problem, it is necessary not only to provide moral support to the idea of fighting it, but also financial support, Dr. Laurens Daniel de Rooij from the UK, an Associate lecturer in the
Sociology of Islam, told Report.
He stressed the importance of financially supporting initiatives by scholars and activists to combat Islamophobia in order to raise public awareness.
He also noted that the international conference “Embracing Diversity: Tackling Islamophobia in 2024” held in Baku will provide additional impetus to continue the fight against Islamophobia.
He added that as a result of the two-day conference, he expects the conversations on this topic will continue further. Laurens Daniel de Rooij stressed that many important points were raised at the conference.
