The Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev participated in the 22nd meeting of the Prosecutors General of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Bishkek, Report informs, citing the country’s General Prosecutor's Office.
Aliyev invited his colleagues to COP29, the 29th annual conference and general meeting of the International Association of Prosecutors to be held in Azerbaijan.
Speaking at the event, the Prosecutor General spoke about the digitization of national prosecution bodies and the reforms carried out in this field. He emphasized the importance of using high technologies in the fight against crime.
The Prosecutor General noted that the economic and social infrastructure in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan was completely destroyed by Armenia during the occupation, and more than 300 Azerbaijani citizens were victims of landmine terrorism.
He informed his colleagues about the ongoing restoration and reconstruction work in Karabakh.
Also, talking about the opening of the Khankandi City Prosecutor's Office, Aliyev noted that this step is an indicator of the importance given to ensuring the rule of law in the territories liberated from occupation.
