“The results of the last binding market test for the Trans-Atlantic pipeline mark the start of doubling the current capacity. The increased cooperation between Azerbaijan and the EU on gas supplies is matched by the increase of our diplomatic engagement. That is mutual determination to turn this crisis into a driver of economic opportunity,” said European Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson at the 9th Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council Ministerial Meeting and the 1st Green Energy Advisory Council Ministerial meeting held in Baku, Report informs via AZERTAC.
“While we are ramping up energy supplies, Southern Gas corridor will remain one of the EU’s stable and competitive sources of pipeline gas delivered to the EU. And this is also potentially an economic opportunity for others in the Caspian region to join forces with Azerbaijan to secure new markets for gas deliveries,” Kadri Simson emphasized.
