Relations between the countries of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) have been deepening and developing in almost all spheres in recent years, and justice is no exception, Azerbaijan's Minister of Justice Farid Ahmadov said at the international conference "Transnational Aspects of Legal Relations: Modern Challenges and Goals" in Baku, Report informs.
This is confirmed by the fact that in 2024 alone, about 30 different seminars, conferences, and events in the field of justice were organized within the OTS, Ahmadov said.
He noted that cooperation within the Turkic Judicial Training Network covers judicial system bodies, as well as notaries, prosecutors, jurisprudence, and justice academies of the organization's member countries.
"In September this year, the Council of Ministers of Justice of OTS countries was established in Astana, and its first meeting was held. The next Council meeting will be held in Azerbaijan in 2025. I believe that a solid foundation for our relationships has been laid, and the ongoing events contribute to their development," he said.
Ahmadov noted that the format of the current conference was chosen very successfully, as it is dedicated to discussing transnational legal relations, which, as known, require close cooperation.
"Representatives of brotherly states have gathered here, and it is very important to develop and maintain these relationships for successful crime fighting. At the same time, the participation of representatives from justice academies at the conference will bring great benefits to science as well," he added.
