Jeyhun Bayramov’s letter over captured servicemen circulated as UN document

The letter of Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, addressed to the UN secretary-general in connection with the Azerbaijani soldiers Agshin Babirov and Huseyn Akhundov captured by Armenia, has been circulated as a document of the Security Council and the UN General Assembly, Report informs referring to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

The letter expresses serious concern that the soldiers of the Azerbaijani army, who got lost due to adverse weather conditions and subsequently captured, are subjected to torture and other inhuman acts.

The letter calls on the secretary-general to condemn this provocative activity of Armenia, accompanied by gross violations of international humanitarian law, to put pressure on it to immediately release Azerbaijani soldiers in accordance with international commitments.
