Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has been received by Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, Report informs, referring to MFA.
The meeting focused on the comprehensive development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan.
Recalling with satisfaction his visits to Azerbaijan, Emomali Rahmon stressed the country's development in recent years. He invited Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to pay an official visit to Tajikistan.
The head of state praised Azerbaijan's assistance to Tajikistan in the fight against COVID-19, noting that Azerbaijan created special conditions for the transit of Tajik goods during the pandemic and thanked the Azerbaijani side in this regard.
Jeyhun Bayramov thanked the President of Tajikistan for the reception and conveyed the sincere greetings of the President of Azerbaijan. The Minister briefed the other side on the current situation in the region, including the destruction caused by Armenia in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, the damage to Azerbaijan's historical and cultural heritage, as well as the work done by the Azerbaijani government to rebuild and restore these territories.
