As part of COP29, Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with NATO Assistant Secretary General for Innovation, Hybrid and Cyber Jean-Charles Ellermann-Kingombe, Report informs referring to the foreign ministry.
The meeting participants discussed issues of existing partnership between Azerbaijan and NATO, and prospects for cooperation within Azerbaijan's chairmanship of COP29. Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted with satisfaction that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the Partnership for Peace program, which initiated cooperation between our country and NATO, under which several joint projects are being implemented in conditions of mutual cooperation.
It was noted that Azerbaijan's exemplary participation in NATO peacekeeping operations over our 30-year partnership, as well as our country's active participation in mutually beneficial cooperation within NATO, has led to our country being recognized as a reliable partner.
Azerbaijan expressed readiness to cooperate with NATO in promoting climate change actions and within Azerbaijan's chairmanship of COP29. The meeting also included an exchange of views on other matters of mutual interest.
