Jeyhun Bayramov discusses cooperation with UN representative on mine threat mitigation

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with Alexander Zuev, UN Assistant Secretary-General for the Rule of Law and Security Institutions, to discuss cooperation in addressing the threat posed by landmines.

Report informs, citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, that the meeting covered various aspects of Azerbaijan–UN collaboration, as well as the regional and international landscape.

The sides emphasized the importance of joint efforts and international support in countering the mine threat, which endangers the lives and health of Azerbaijani citizens, hinders the return process, and challenges the country's peacebuilding and reconstruction initiatives.

Additionally, topics of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting.
