Jeyhun Bayramov: Azerbaijan stands for full compliance with principles of tripartite agreements

Azerbaijan stands for full observance of the principles of tripartite agreements, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a joint press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Report informs.

The root cause of the protests on the Khankandi-Lachin road was the violation by Armenia of the points of the tripartite agreement, namely the points relating to humanitarian issues, Bayramov noted.

“When the protests began, Armenia stated that it had nothing to do with this and the issue of road safety, trying to shift all responsibility on Azerbaijan and Russia,” Bayramov added.

However, in parallel, Armenia is actively promoting distorted information about the situation on the road and is trying to create a stir around this situation, while refusing to discuss anything, he said.

“Azerbaijan is doing everything possible so that the protests on the road do not bring any humanitarian consequences for the Armenians living in Karabakh. Despite all the difficulties, Azerbaijan stands in the position of full compliance with tripartite agreements and other deals,” Bayramov summed up.
